Terms
The rules for using Fade.fm, in plain words.
- Fade.fm is run by TwinRockets Pty Ltd in Western Australia. Using Fade.fm means agreeing to these terms.
- Accounts are for people 16 or older, or younger with a parent or guardian’s consent.
- What you make is yours. The Licensing page says who may do what with it.
- Don’t use Fade.fm to hurt people or to break the law, and don’t upload what isn’t yours to share.
- Pro renews until you cancel, and you can cancel any time.
- Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always apply, whatever else this page says.
Who you are agreeing with
Fade.fm is run by TwinRockets Pty Ltd, a company in Western Australia (“we”). These terms are an agreement between you and TwinRockets Pty Ltd, and they apply whenever you use Fade.fm, with or without an account.
The Terms section of the Licensing page is part of these terms. It covers who owns what you make, the licence Fade.fm needs to run, and what publishing a link grants. How Fade.fm handles your information is on the Privacy page.
Your account
You need to be 16 or older to create an account. If you are younger, you need the consent of a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for you.
Use an email address you can receive mail at, and keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is for one person.
Using Fade.fm
Fade.fm is free to use, and you can make, save, share and jam within these rules. Do not use it to:
- upload or publish material you don’t have the rights to;
- publish anything unlawful, or anything that harasses, threatens, defames or demeans other people;
- publish sexual content, or anything that exploits or endangers children;
- pretend to be someone else, or mislead people about who made a song;
- send spam, or use song names, artist names or links to advertise;
- disrupt or overload the service, get around its limits or Pro features, or collect other people’s songs or details in bulk;
- disrupt a jam you have joined.
When we remove things
We may delist or remove material that breaks these terms or the law, and we may suspend or close an account that does. Where we reasonably can, we tell the account holder why. Copyright notices follow the takedown process on the Licensing page.
You can delete your songs and links, or your account, at any time. The Privacy page says what happens to them.
Pro
Pro is a subscription, billed in advance through Stripe, monthly or yearly at the price shown on the Pro page when you subscribe. It renews automatically until you cancel.
You can cancel any time from the billing portal. Pro then runs to the end of the period you paid for and does not renew. We do not refund the unused part of a period, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it.
If the price changes, we will tell you before it applies, and the new price starts from your next renewal. You can cancel before then.
Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. For major failures with the service, you are entitled to cancel your service contract with us and to a refund for the unused portion, or to compensation for its reduced value. You are also entitled to be compensated for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. If a failure does not amount to a major failure, you are entitled to have problems with the service rectified in a reasonable time and, if this is not done, to cancel your contract and obtain a refund for the unused portion of the contract.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded.
The service
We work to keep Fade.fm running and your saved work safe, but we cannot promise it will always be available or free of faults. We may change, add or remove features.
A song you have not saved to your account lives only in your browser on that device, and clearing the browser’s data removes it. Save to your account, or to a file, for anything you want to keep.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losing work that was never saved to your account. Where the law lets us limit our liability for failing to meet a consumer guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again or paying the cost of having it supplied again. This section is subject to “Your consumer rights” above.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia, and the courts of Western Australia can hear any dispute about them.

Changes
We may update these terms. This page carries the date of its current version, and changes apply from that date. A change to Pro billing applies from your next renewal.
